Almost Show Time!

Can't wait to see Sparkman Indoor Drumline's first competetive performance of the 2011 season in the Flams and Flags Winterguard and Percussion Show this Sat., Feb.5 at Prattville High School.  Our kids have worked hard so come out and support them if it's at all possible. Since videotaping of school's performances is not allowed once we're inside the arena/gym, I will plan to videotape their parking lot warm-up so those of you who are unable to go will be able to at least hear the show.

If you have not been to an Indoor Drumline Competition before this year, you are in for a real treat. It's exciting and very LOUD! You will be able to see just how hard our kids, as well as the students from the other schools competing, have worked. An FYI - There is an admission fee. Last year, it typically ran around $7.00 per person and that is for the entire day. Also, although the performances themselves are very loud, there is a high level of respect that all audience members are expected to give every school when performing.  Talking, walking around, going in and out of the gym during any school's performance is a big no-no! Once a school completes their performance, audience members are free to talk, leave or to move around as they choose. Finally, videotaping is not allowed inside of the gym. If younger siblings go along to watch the performance, please make them aware of these guidelines. We want to be sure to represent Sparkman well.
